Tom began swimming competitively at age 11, when a summer swim coach pulled him from the stands where he was playing with his friend, because the team had no boys in the 11-12 age group. Later, Tom began swimming year-round and eventually joined the Boston College swim team. He's been an assistant coach for the Burlington YMCA Dynamo swim team and Winooski Waves previously, and he's excited to be stepping into the head coach role for the Dynamos and the co-head coach role for Winooski Waves.

Reiko was born and raised in NYC, and moved to Vermont when she was 16 years old. Here she would finish high school and eventually graduate from UVM in 2019. She swam on both Dynamo and Winooski Swim Team, and for the past 10 years has been involved in aquatics in some way, whether that be teaching health and safety classes or being on the pool deck coaching the little kiddos. Through her experience with this team, Reiko has discovered her passion in not only helping kids to achieve their goals, but also encouraging them to persevere when something doesn’t go as planned. Reiko is so excited for this season and can’t wait to have a great summer with everyone!
